Your game's page: description, cover and link previews

The game's page is what a stranger sees before pressing Play, and what a pasted link shows in Messages, WhatsApp, Slack, Discord or X. Set it up in the studio: open the game and choose Edit under Game page. Everything is optional.

Description#

One line about the game, up to 300 characters. It shows on the play page and under the title when the link is pasted. Without one, the link uses a general line ("Play the prototype in your browser and tell Pond Studio what you think", with your studio's name, or "the developer").

Cover#

A 1200×630 image, PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 2 MB (at least 600×315). With a cover, apps show the large card; without one, the small card with the icon. Put the game's name in the art: X's large card shows only the image. We re-encode it to a 1200×630 JPEG, cropped from the centre.

Icon#

A square image, at least 512×512, PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 1 MB: a mark with no text, since it's shown as small as 32 px. It's the icon on phones' home screens, in browser tabs and in the small link card. Without one, the game gets a generated icon in its colour.

Brand colour#

A hex colour like #2c9658. It tints the generated icon, Discord's card and a phone's browser bar. Without one, the game gets a colour picked from its slug (the name in its link).

Check it before you share#

Preview links on the game page shows the link as each app unfurls it, and the play page's welcome. Apps keep a preview for a while after they first see a link, so set the page up before you share it widely.
